Due to the change of guidelines of the European Union that establish the requirements of the ecological design related to the energy products (laws 245/2009, 347/2010 and 2015/1428, where the ordinances 2005/32 and 2009/125 are applicable), from April 2017 it is required for the ballasts above the 405W used with the HID lamps, a minimum efficiency that needs to be better than 92%, decided by the energy efficiency index (EEI), A2. 

Therefore from April 13th 2017, ballasts under an energy efficiency of 92% will no longer be able to be sold in the European Union. Meaning that all the CE certificates should include all the essays described on the regulations EN 62442-2:2014. Trading with products that do not  fulfil the minimum requirement needed, we could be fines from 3.005.07 euros to 90.000 euros, according to the seriousness of the infringement.





In the prevision of this legislative change, and in order to comply with the specifications required by law, from The Pure Factory we have proceed to improve all of our range of electromagnetic ballasts above 405W, with the result of a most efficient and ecological product, as well as new CE certificates that cover all the necessaries essays.

To show clearly that we have improve our ballast range for the better, we have added "V2" in the name, but as it is a format change that regards the same product, we have kept the same reference in our catalogue. So you can continue to purchase them individually or in the illumination kits with the known references.
