The XVI edition of Spannabis breaks attendance record

The 16th edition of Spannabis wrapped up Sunday in the exhibition site of Feria de Cornellá (Barcelona) and Plantasur did not miss the appointment. We had a great time meeting customers and suppliers and presenting the Grow Corner, to those that had not yet experienced the revolution of the customer experience in the cannabis business.

More than 25,000 people visited Spannabis this year, one of the largest cannabis events in the world. Since High Times Magazine recently announced the acquisition of Spannabis with the collaboration of Damian Marley, this edition was full of expectations.

Afterwards we can say that those expectations have been more than fulfilled.

The event started on Thursday with the ICBC (International Cannabis Business Conference), the major B2B event for cannabis professionals that concluded with an interview to Damian Marley that ended up (of course) with a more than appreciated concert.

Apart from the great participation of the public, more than 4000 accredited professionals and about 300 exhibitors participated to the event.

In addition to the trade fair, the World Cannabis Conferences was held on Friday and Saturday, a series of lectures and conferences about the most current topics related to the cannabis sector. Various topics have been discussed: from the analysis of the European and International legislation, to the CBD and medicinal cannabis. The speakers highlighted among other issues the need for a clear and defined legal framework, and the pros and cons of the regulatory process in the United States, they analyzed the current Spanish legislation and the possible paths for regulation in Spain.

As every year, music has been an important part of the event and different groups took the stage with different styles of music to set the perfect mood.

All these factors made Spannabis 2019 a great triumph.

We are already looking forward to next year's edition!
