The most important novelty about this edition is surely the date, which have been moved to April 26, 27 and 28. It’s a "risky" decision, according to the team, "but necessary for the continuity of the fair" that takes place at Ficoba, Irun.

The new date “Is more consistent with the needs of the sector” as it gives brands “a special showcase closer to the growing season” and at the same time it allows to “boost the presence of professionals” and “count on a bigger and more receptive audience at this time of the year, before the summer season which is filled of cultural and musical events”.

Among the news of this edition, Expogrow organizes THE HEMP BUSINESSS DAY: the first congress on HEMP and CBD of Southern Europe. “It is a groundbreaking event created in order to provide answers to the doubts of many like-minded people and professionals who see the potential generated by this new market” they affirm. The speakers and experts invited will review the different applications of the sector “From food to textiles or building materials, or biofuel. But also the medical and pharmaceutical application of CBD. “

In addition to this important change of date from September to April, another of the changes that have been introduced in this edition is aimed "to offer a special treat to professionals and provide the public with the best experience possible ". Therefore, the B2B professional day of Expogrow in Irún has been extended to the full day of Friday 26th of April (contrary to previous editions when it was only during the morning). A part from the novelties of this edition, Expogrow stick by parallel activities such as the Music Festival and the Cannabis Box Forum that made Expogrow “Much more than a cannabis Expo”.

A special mention should be made for Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra that will be performing on Expogrow stage.

All members of Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra will be on the stage with voice, guitars, accordion, bass, violin, tuba, drums, percussion, saxophone, trumpet and keyboards. They all celebrate their 20th anniversary together and, apart of performing their current work “Corps Diplomatic”, they’ll put a cherry on the cake by performing the soundtrack of Emir’s films like “Black cat, white cat”, “Life is a miracle”, “On the milky road” and songs from the album “Unza Unza time” and the music of his “OPERA PUNK: Les Temps de Gitans”.

Kusturica will close a well loaded line-up with Kulto Kultibo, a basque rap-reggae group; the resident DJ Don Cornelius and the reggae group Danakil & The Baco All Stars with its first and single concert of 2019 exclusively for Expogrow.

Lastly, the debate will also have its place in Expogrow 2019. The Cannabis Fox Forum, is a "pioneering event in our country that become an international meeting of reference with first-line guests. " Among the participants in this edition Milton Romani, former general secretary of the National Drugs Board of Uruguay during the development of the law that regulated cannabis in the country. Moreover, Carola Pérez, president of the Spanish Observatory of Medical Cannabis, will explain how the situation is in Spain.
